Our fireplaces are exact replicas of Robert Adam's originals, which were produced in Edinburgh circa 1770 - 1830. They are manufactured using the same materials and techniques that were employed in those times.

Scots pine timber is specially sourced from renewable forests in Scotland and then brought to our workshops where it is seasoned for several years before being fashioned into fireplaces.

The decorative detail is made from Adam's original recipe composition, which we make ourselves before pressing it in moulds. The composition is similar to a hot putty, which hardens as it cools and dries.

Fireplaces can also receive any kind of paint or decorative finish (including gilding) that you may require.
